What do I tell my four year old granddaughter who will grow up to a very different America than the one we know and love. How do I tell her that we used to be a sovereign nation with secure borders, and that becoming a US citizen was a honor not someting stolen, that our language was English, our flag honored and our soldiers fought against tryanny around the world protecting defenseless people from genocide? How do I tell her that there were a people who fought to defend the unborn from outright murder? How do I tell her that men used to marry women and honored them throughout a lifetime? How do I tell her that citizens could freely express themselves through free speech and that we could choose to educate our own children and select our own doctors. I wrote this song "When America Is Not America Anymore" before the election and posted it on youtube as a wake up call to my fellow Americans. Now that the election is over I believe this song and message are even more pertinate. As a true Patriot I thought that you might appreciate the message, even though it is a dismal one if conservatives don't come together and take a stand for the principles upon which this great nation was founded.
I do not think that Obama will destroy the America we know all by himself. This is already happening. But if conservatives, Christians, Jews and people of all conservative faiths do not continue to be a light in the darkness, we will give license to our new president and congress to accelerate the decaying process.
